Listen, as we all know, rats drop items, but whatÆs being over looked here is that 99% of the items are JUNK to the 5th power.
Even killing the best rats there are over and over typically yields mostly blah items that either no one wants, or those that do want them donÆt pay much for them.
Now if youÆre in the business of making the blah items, whoÆs fault is that?
Going to set up an ice-house in Siberia soon too? (you never know when there may be a shortage of ice in that area!)
Or maybe start selling Jet-SkiÆs in the middle of a desert???
Come on now reallyà the items that players get from loot help to make rat killing worth while, and is one of the primary ways those players typically get money to buy manufactured goods that ARE worth buying.
Karl, every time IÆve seen your posts lately itÆs been some inane complaint about a part of the system that actually ISNÆT flawed, but you somehow perceive an affront to your livelihood from it where there is none.
You constantly whine about people needing more skill investment to build the most basic tech 1 things, and yet you have absolutely no concept of the larger equation you would be royally messing up in the process.
You have no clue about how the economy works, and the benefit of many common things that arenÆt good making the things that ARE good so much more valuable and rightfully so.
The reason ANYTHING is in demand is because for whatever reason, it is good or better than the alternative. Be its alternative an inferior tech 1 version, or just no other option, a good item is still a good item.
Good items sell, crap items do not.
If your items are not selling, you are either asking too much, there is something better that is more desirable to the buyers, or there simply isnÆt any demand for that item precisely because it isnÆt all that good.
But no matter what the reason, it isnÆt the loot, or the economy, or the other players out to get youà it is simply a matter of YOU not doing what YOU need to do in order to be successful.
DonÆt ask the developers to hand you some crutches because you hobble yourself, how about not do whatever bad decisions youÆre makingà there are MANY extremely successful players in the game that both make and donÆt make any variety of things.
Those that make fortunes through production are smart enough to see whatÆs in demand and MAKE THAT! If you arenÆt making whatÆs in demand, you have NOONE to blame but yourself.
